About Us

Experience and comprehensive knowledge of reentry barriers and bureaucratic obstacles enable M.A.D.E. to develop practical approaches to reentry.

Our Mission

M.A.D.E. Transitional Services is a reentry agency servicing New York’s lower Hudson Valley and surrounding areas. As such, M.A.D.E. is committed to increasing public safety and reducing recidivism. M.A.D.E. generates opportunities for individuals to transform their own lives by encouraging behavioral changes that promote personal responsibility, healthy relationships, and positive contributions to society through our programs which include job readiness and placement, life skills training, reentry services, relapse prevention, housing, and at-risk youth mentorship and programs.

The goal of M.A.D.E. Transitional Services is to serve as a best practice model for reentry services and supportive transitional housing that can be replicated and scaled nationwide. M.A.D.E.’s service offerings allow for state and municipal social service organizations to outsource reentry functions to M.A.D.E.

Since our formation, we’ve built a strong network of organizations and individuals who are working alongside M.A.D.E. to make changes for returning citizens and to impact mass incarceration.

Development

Our goal is to eliminate the recidivism trap by providing the proper tools for returning citizens and by extension, their families and communities to thrive.

Support

M.A.D.E. provides wraparound services and holistic support that includes cognitive behavioral therapy and pro-social support groups and mentorship.

Success

We maximize the impact of our work to advance success rates nationally through knowledge sharing and collaboration with organizations such as ACLU, Columbia University, Cornell University, etc.

Our Vision

M.A.D.E. Transitional Services provides effective solutions for reducing unemployment, recidivism, and homelessness, by empowering our participants to make sustainable, personal changes that positively impact society.
M.A.D.E.’s unique approach addresses the root cause of reentry failure by providing essential tools necessary to overcome the myriad challenges returning citizens face. Reentry success depends on core factors, among which are intrinsic will, motivation, and access. Without access—access to jobs and access to resources like training, job placement assistance, technology, and sometimes even professional attire – workforce integration and reentry are huge feats. M.A.D.E. connects program participants to resources and employers that support workforce inclusion.
Inclusive economies and workforce reintegration require the support of private sector enterprises, elected officials, academic institutions, policymakers, and individual citizens. MA.D.E. strives to make our communities more economically sound and keep them thriving through second chance advocacy and service delivery.
We aim to contribute to the betterment of society at large by increasing public safety, reducing recidivism and supporting the individual change and success of each participant who seeks to make that change.
M.A.D.E. Transitional Services’ at-risk youth initiatives and alternatives to incarceration combat the challenges that directly contribute to delinquency, crime, and disparities in educational opportunities that perpetuate the U.S. prison pipeline.
